Genre(s): YA Paranormal/Fantasy

My Review: (5/5 stars*)

Avow (The Archers of Avalon, #3) - What can I say that hasn't already been said about this trilogy? Well first off Chelsea Fine is a narrating genius! Her words are totally beguiling from page one; your surroundings utterly fall away and draw you into Scarlet's enchanting world. My mind was simply bewitched by the plot layering and sophisticated story-telling. This is top-notch YA fantasy at its very best. Get comfortable - pick a nice secluded spot to read because you'll be captivated by this novel for a long while. I'm so beyond words; and so completely enraptured by this clever, imaginatively twisted fairy tale-esque story. The English language can hardly describe my feelings about this book and the rest in the trilogy. So instead I will try to construe my verbal feelings into two words: amazingly-marvelous!

You may want to physically prepare yourself because you'll be reading for hours from cover to cover. Time will cease to exist so watch-out! The triangular affair between Scarlet, Tristan, and Gabriel is even more alluring and compelling in this final book. I adored Nate who is really loyal and endearing in his own awkwardly comedic way. The characters are wonderfully fleshed out and feel very real and believable.

Starting up exactly where Awry left off you are thrust into the pending doom that is Scarlet's life. Seamlessly stitching together the past events that lead into the present ones. You see how Tristan and Gabriel lived without Scarlet all those years in-between her deaths and how all past events shaped each individual into the characters you've grown to love-or instantly fell in love with from the very beginning. The past of Tristan, Gabriel and Scarlet is a complexity in and of itself with a constant flux of situations that are ever-evolving and further progressing the grim circumstance for which they now find themselves in. & It's there last chance to find the Fountain of Youth before it's too late!

Avow delivers a beautifully satisfying ending to an incredible journey of undying and everlasting love. One that will make you feel happy, sad, frustrated, and even tearful. Everything is neatly and brilliantly explained tying up all loose ends previously unexplained. It's an epic read and the trilogy as a whole is mind-blowing and outstanding. Easiest 5 star rating ever given as it deserves every one for a wonderful plot, fantastic characters, exceptional writing, unexpected twists, and a rare freshness that's almost unheard of in the Paranormal-Fantasy genre. The Archers of Avalon series is unparalleled. Loved this entire series!

  1. LOVED this series!!! Do you have any recommendations of similar writers? I'm hard pressed to find an author who can write as good as Chelsea and incorporate as much humor (which I love). I need to find another great writer!!! If you have any advice, PLEASE let me know! :D

    1. Well I would highly recommend Grasping at Eternity by: Karen Amanda Hooper (her writing/story plot is amazing), the Star-Crossed Saga by: Rachel Higginson, anything written by Samantha Young, or Jessica Sorensen is incredible (I've read multiple series by them and loved them all!). & The Mageri series by: Dannika Dark is really really good! Hopefully you'll find these authors/books just as great as I have :)
