Feature & Follow Friday! (#18)

Q: Happy Mother's Day! Who is your favorite mom from fiction?


That's a good question...usually I don't care much or focus on character's parents let alone mothers but one that really stood out was Penryn's mother in Angelfall (Penryn & The End of Days). Man...that woman is all kinds of crazy and super badass—I mean you'd have to be to survive that long in a post-apocalyptic society where cruel and murderous angels rule what's left of the world. I also LOVE that book to pieces and the mother really shocked the hell out of me! For literature's sake that is saying a lot so I nominate her as my favorite fictional mother. :)

    I know what you mean... I too don't really pay attention to parents. Unless they are bad parents and then it's funny I totally notice them!!!

      Haha yes! Unless they're significant in some way to the story than they are remembered if not they are completely forgotten :P

    Hopping through. Mothers are usually a secondary character so are easy to forget. It took me awhile to think of an answer.

    I hadn't even heard of this book! Yeah, most of the mothers I can think of are quite simply dreadful.

      Right now Angelfall is the only book released in the series, the next one is due out in October so there's still time to catch up :) It's a really great read!!

    BTW I've been hearing such good things about the book you chose for your favorite mom and despite buying it like a month ago it;s still sitting on my shelf unread. I may just read this book next.Her mom sounds awesome!
