Q: Have you broken up with a series? If so which one and why?
Fortunately I've never broken up with a series before I'm usually a committed reader through thick and thin. Once I set my sights on a series of books I take a gamble and hope that it'll only get better and it usually does so I've never really had any reason to drop anything. I mostly research people's opinions on books before I decide to get invested in it. I tend to stay away from the books that I've heard have taken a turn for the worst that way I won't have to share in the disappointment down the line. I'm sure sooner or later I'll choose unwisely and end up with a series that I lose interest in but so far that has not been the case for which I'm very grateful!

It's a little bit of a bad habit but I'm a reading trooper :P Good to see others who stick with a series!

You are lucky. I too try to stick with series. But sometimes I'll start one that is really good and then BAM it's terrible!!

Eek! So far I haven't run into that kind of thing but I'm always worried a series I like will spiral. It's just disappointing especially because you put time and money in and then it goes in an awful direction :( Hopefully you pick up many series like that in the future!!

I like to finish a series too, but unfortunately I have picked a couple of series unwisely (mainly due judging a book by it's cover) and have just had to give up on them :(

That's unfortunate often times I'm misled by the pretty covers so now I thoroughly research books before I buy them! There's nothing worse than spending both time and money on a bunch of books and then find out they weren't worth the paper their printed on :/
DeleteHave a great weekend Amy!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

You are wayyy more committed than I am! There are a few series where I just couldn't handle things after the first book. :) http://abbiereadsbooks.blogspot.com
