Mythology! YES PLEASE! Kali is a fascinatingly powerful Hindu goddess and I'm really excited to see her given an original story. I love authors who make the leap and write about mythological figures who normally don't get written about. I've read T.G. Ayer's Valkyrie book Dead Radiance (Valkyrie, #1) and really enjoyed it so I can't wait to read this one, it looks awesome and has a fantastic cover too!!
