Reviews. Stacking the
Shelves is a blog meme where you share your recent book purchases, physical
book buys, review books, borrowed books, or any books you have recently
acquired. ~
There is a great advantage to living 5 minutes away from my local library—I have access to lots of books. I've been going to the library every other week and borrowing a ton. As much as I love buying them it's even better to read them for free so this week's stacking the shelves is mostly borrowed, but I did get the rest of the Sherlock Holmes inspired steampunk/mystery books for review. I'm lucky to have gotten all three to read, which I'll be doing the next couple of weeks. The Power of Myth has been in my TBR for nearly two years so when I spotted it I knew it was time to pick it up. I grabbed up the next four books in the Dresden Files because I'm absolutely hooked on the series and loving it, you can check out what I thought of the first book Storm Front here. I've been holding off on reading Iced because KMM takes a year to release a single book but I finally caved! I acquired the first Lord of the Rings book which I have seriously always wanted to read as I'm a fan of the films. Last but not least I got a review copy of Greed which is part of Fisher Amelie's amazing Seven Deadly series and each book is based off of the 7 deadly sins—I'm freaking out over it, because Fisher Amelie is a very talented writer, and Vain—the first novel—was impossible to put down.
Physical Purchases: The Fellowship of the Ring by: J.R.R. Tolkien
Library Books: Fool Moon | Grave Peril | Summer Knight | Death Masks by: Jim Butcher | Iced by: Karen Marie Moning | The Power of Myth by: Joseph Campbell
E-Copies for Review: A Study in Darkness | A Study in Ashes by: Emma Jane Holloway | Greed by: Fisher Amelie
