Grammarly: A Useful Tool for Writing, Avoiding Plagiarism, and More!

I use Grammarly's plagiarism checker because writing is about expressing your individuality.

Let's face it plagiarism is scary. Writing comes from you - your experiences, your emotions, and your own words. There is no reason to copy anyone else because we all view things differently. This tool offers you a convenient way to check errors and make sure your content is 100% your own.

What is Grammarly?

Grammarly is a website that helps prevent plagiarism, checks spelling, and punctuation & more. Why it's useful for reviewers and writers alike is because editing and revising is a huge part of the writing process, but by using Grammarly you can easily use the copy & paste tool and it'll find your errors for you (amongst other writing-related issues). I think that's kind of neat! Sometimes I can stare at my review for hours editing, making sure I didn't use repetitive words or bad grammar and still end up with mistakes. This site helps spot your misspelled words and offers sentence correction tips to improve your work. If you blog or write I think this is something worth looking into that seems to be a bit more thorough and advanced than your average spell-checker.

Now that I've been blogging for a year and a half I've learned a lot of things while writing, one of the most important ones is to be ORIGINAL. Thankfully there has only been a few times where I've seen bloggers get in trouble for plagiarizing. It isn't pretty. The same goes for writers who pass off other author's work as their own. It's lazy, and above all it's just wrong. I'm not saying a tool can eradicate it from happening but that there are ways to help avoid it, and come up with your own ideas without having to steal them.

Write from the heart and you can't go wrong!

*This post is sponsored by Grammarly, but like their goal my opinion and experience with their site is and always will be my own.*

Thanks for reading!!
