ReVamped (Mini-Review)

(Angel Creek, #1)

Release Date: February 20th, 2012
Genre(s): YA Paranormal/Romance
My Review: (4/5 stars*)

ReVamped is unexpectedly good. It had me absolutely hooked within 5 minutes of reading . Ada Adams' writing skills brought this book to life. The world was really fascinating, a world where vampires are revered instead of feared. The characters were all intriguing each with their own back story. The main heroine Dawn was likeable and compelling. The story had a few unpredictable twists, and that was pleasantly refreshing . Overall a thoroughly enjoyable read. 4/5 stars because although this book was really good I felt it was missing a major wow factor, but don't let that deter you from reading it.

SYNOPSIS:

Dawn is nineteen and has only ever known life in and around The Scarlett House; her father's presidential base of operations. Dawn is a Born. A very special powerful breed of vampire who wasn't made but came into the world as a vampire through birth. Her father, the vampire president sends Dawn on her first mission ever in a town where she must train a band of vampire misfits to become guardians. Her mission seems simple but she finds out it's anything but. Even as a trained warrior she isn't prepared for what lies ahead. A story of mystery, action, adventure and romance!
