My Review: (4/5 stars*)

3 Sides to a Circle is surprising in a good way. The powerful connections of friendship forged in college between three very different people made it interesting and fun. Going into reading this I didn't really know how I felt but then as I read on I found myself really enjoying it. It's a quick and genuine read infused with different emotions. It has a lot of realism and wisdom thrown in and I liked that. It centers on three college students discovering who they are and what they want from life.

Honor is a beautiful but shy girl whose far from home, and when she meets her outgoing borderline crazy roommate that all changes. Libby is absolutely carefree and does whatever she feels like doing and people just seem to follow her. It's her nature that draws people to her and and she bridges a close friendship between Honor, herself, and a boy named Toby. Toby is kind of a nerd and is nearly as reserved as Honor. Together they create an unbreakable whirlwind friendship all the while trying to get through being freshmen in college. But their is a lot more to this impulsive circle than they realize when boundaries are crossed.

A great book for some light and easy reading. I loved all of the characters that are introduced. I especially loved Libby-whose enigmatic, adorable, and irresistibly charismatic. The bond that forms between these three strangers is incredibly enthralling. There are many life lessons and messages that can be grasped. One of my favorite is not being afraid to step outside your comfort zone and take some risks. It makes you realize how important friendship is and not to take it for granted. Jolene Perry and Janna Watts does a fantastic job on making the story engaging and creating characters that distinctly stand out. I completely connected with the struggles that they are faced with. 3 Sides to a Circle is heartening, cute, and wholly enjoyable!

Synopsis:

Love is the ultimate rush.

Freshman year of college isn't easy. But with a friend like Libby Patterson, it is unforgettable.

Libby is honest and fearless and adorable. She's the girl on campus that everyone knows. The life of every party. Infectious and addictive, Libby captivates all those around her. Particularly her roommate Honor and their boy bestie Toby.

But three isn't always a magic number. And there's more to this trio than what everyone sees.

When Honor finds herself falling for an artist, and Libby doesn’t approve, and Toby finds himself watching Libby more than he should...the sides of their circle become strained.

The three are suddenly stretched between friendship, love and taking sides. They must fight to hold on to each other. But the tighter the hold, the harder it gets. Especially when Libby's unpredictability turns dangerous. Now it's up to Honor and Toby to save her from the downward spiral that could break their circle for good.
