Feature & Follow Friday! (#27)

*Fun blog hop feature hosted by Parajunkee's View and Alison Can Read

Q: Share something you've learned about book blogging or just blogging in general in the last month.

Something I've learned about book blogging and blogging in general is that you need to always be on top of things. You need to have a routine or schedule to keep from getting lazy (it happens!) with posts. Recently I guess I've been doing just that and not really planning out my posts ahead of time and therefore getting up less content. I use index cards to write down blog tours, author features, etc. to keep me on track. It's okay to take a break but it's not okay to abandon your followers who actually read your posts! Changing things up every once in awhile can be good for you and your blog. Sometimes reading and reviewing books can feel like a chore instead of a hobby and you need to rediscover the reason you enjoy doing what you do!

  2. Yeah, I hear you about the whole chore thing. Usually happens when I'm reading a book I don't like much! Already following via Bloglovin and added GFC

    1. Haha yes, that's the worst when you have to struggle through reading a book your not into and then you have to write your thoughts on it. It doesn't happen much but when it does blogging can become strenuous.

Thanks so much Kimberly for following! :)

I hope you enjoy your weekend!!

  4. Hello, Sierra. During my first month of blogging, I was totally clueless. And I thought that one post a week is already okay. But once I socialized with other bloggers, I discovered that I have been so lax. And that I need to work harder. I realized that in order to keep up, I have to post 5-10 reviews ahead of time. Make things a lot easier and manageable!

Following you back on bloglovin and new follower on Twitter. :D

    1. I always try to schedule my posts because it makes things easier, when I first started blogging I had no idea how to do that either. It's a great tool to be aware of and it lifts the burden :)

Thanks so much Charlotte, hope you're having a great weekend!!

  5. Omg I love your background...ok sorry, off topic.
Yeah you're totally right! It's something I'm struggling with now actually...I'm starting to schedule my posts one week in advance, then two weeks, then three weeks, etc etc..

    2. Thanks! Lisseth@Read-A-HolicZ did my whole design (she does them for free!), and is really talented! Scheduling posts is something all bloggers must deal with, some days I find myself posting the day of and other times I have a bunch of posts finished ahead of time. You need to do what works for you!! :)

Thank you so much for following, I've followed you back. I hope you're having a fantastic weekend!
