Stacking the Shelves (#28): BEA Edition!

~ Stacking the Shelves is a weekly post hosted by: Tynga from Tynga's Reviews. Stacking the Shelves is where you share your recent book purchases, physical book buys, review books, borrowed books, or any books you have recently acquired. ~

BEA Stacking the Shelves Edition is here! I've just returned from NYC with boxes full of a spectacular collection of books!! I don't even know which new title I should read first, any ideas?!! Another thing, not everything featured here is from BEA, some of the books were part of gift bags from publisher parties I attended (YEAH, I KNOW. I WAS LUCKY AND IT WAS AWESOME!) but this is what I came back with altogether. I'm jumping up and down over all these amaziiiingg books. I CAN BARELY BELIEVE I GOT THE BEAUTIFUL ASHES AND MET JEANIENE FROST, MY BOOKISH LIFE IS COMPLETE. Talon, This Shattered World, Jackaby, Stitching Snow, and Black Ice were the ones I hoped to get and I did so I could have walked away with just them and still have been as happy as ever! I'm VERY excited to work my way through these!!! On another note I will be reviewing comics and even more middle grade novels in the future. It's something I have wanted to do for awhile, though I've reviewed MG before it has only ever been here and there. Readers, prepare for a overload of different types of books and reviews on really neat entertainment products! Sound good??

  2. Haha! It seemed like all I did was wait in lines, though surprisingly not as many as you'd think! I think Julie Kagawa's line had a multi-author signing at HarlequinTeen with Jen Armentrout, Adi Alsaid, Alexandra Adornetto. Then their was a couple others like Jenny Han and Cora Carmack at signing tables whose lines I hopped in when they were about to wrap up. Guess I was super lucky!! The real question you should have asked was how long I spent in a few authors lines and the answer will astound :P. A LONG TIME! I actually got even more books but I didn't want to post on them because they were ones I was iffy about and might end up donating or giving away. My estimated count is 50ish excluding comics, excerpts/samplers, and the books not listed which were like 10 total. I think I made out like a bandit especially in both quality and quanity. Last year I think I ended up with around 75 books but there was some I didn't have an interest in and this year I ended up being more selective.

Thanks for checking out my post Jenna!! :)
